About May Day Hair & Art Studio
Terrie May -- Owner and Cosemetologist

360-223-2384 maydaze2@comcast.net
Terrie May has been a licensed cosmetologist for 35 years. Has been part owner/manager at a local Bellingham salon for 20 years and now owns May Day Hair & Art Studio. She has loved the industry and knew of her destiny as early as 10 years old. She has completed on stage for hair design color & cuts. She is sought after for wedding hair and make up presentations. She has been on the Washington hair fashion committee in education and served on the Washington Cosmetology board as secretary and the local board in leadership roles.
She has received her make up instruction from Paul Brickner of New York, and continued education out of Vancouver BC, Las Vegas, Oregon, Washington state. One major Ah Ha moment was when she had 2 or 3 jobs across town. That unbalancing caused her to think instead of traveling across town just travel across the salon and do cosmetologist related services. So the natural progression has moved from hair, color, foiling, straightening, perms, nails, pedicures, waxing and makeup.
So the art of permanent cosmetic is a natural progression for her taking th art of beauty to the next level. She has her certification and training from Penny Rudy CPCT certified in the soft tap method.
