Terrie May
Terrie May has been a licensed cosmetologist for 35 years. Has been part owner/manager at a local Bellingham salon for 20 years and now owns May Day Spa-lon. She has loved the industry and knew of her destiny as early as 10 years old. She has completed on stage for hair design color & cuts. She is sought after for wedding hair and make up presentations. She has been on the Washington hair fashion committee in education and served on the Washington Cosmetology board as secretary and the local board in leadership roles.
She has received her make up instruction from Paul Brickner of New York, and continued education out of Vancouver BC, Las Vegas, Oregon, Washington state.
One major Ah Ha moment was when she had 2 or 3 jobs across town. That unbalancing caused her to think instead of traveling across town just travel across the salon and do cosmetologist related services. So the natural progression has moved from hair, color, foiling, straightening, perms, nails, pedicures, waxing and makeup.
So the art of permanent cosmetic is a natural progression for her taking th art of beauty to the next level. She has her certification and training from Penny Rudy CPCT certified in the soft tap method.

Since the age of 3, I have always had a passion for doing hair and make up. It all started when I used my mom’s lipstick on and then applied it to my baby sister. Instead of playing outside with the other kids, I would invite them in, style their hair, and put make up on them. I’ve since gone to Beauty school and mastered the art of cutting hair and skin care. I have been a licensed professional cosmetologist and aesthetician for 10 years. I have worked in an upscale salon in Portland, Oregon, and have owned my own salon on the Oregon Coast for the last 7 years. I moved to beautiful Bellingham 1 year ago, with my 16 year old daughter, and have been working at May Day Spa-lon for the past 4 months. I am professional and experienced. I’m confident about my ability, yet still striving to do better. I have had on going training in Oregon, Washington, Las Vegas, and New York. Nothing gives me more pleasure than helping and educating people to feel better about themselves. I am currently taking appointments for hair cuts and styling, facials, body wraps, pedicures and manicures. Live life beautiful.

Stephanie Naylor
My name is Stephanie. I am 26 years old. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for about 6 years, also certified for 3 years in hair extensions. I've been with May Day Spa-lon going on 3years. I am a cosmetologist on the weekend and a bookkeeper during the week for an oil company. I enjoy both worlds.

I specialize in formal hair and make-up application for any event, from a special high school dance, to a bride's big wedding day. Nothing makes me happier then making someone feel and look their best for their special event. The professional line of make-up I use is mineral based, called Young Blood. Young Blood is a high quality line of make-up.

I'm originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I moved to Washington State from Baton Rouge, LA after hurricane Katrina. It was then I decided to get involved in the beauty industry, becoming a licensed manicurist.  I have worked in first class spas in Whatcom County for 3 years. Key to my services is relaxation through massage and aromatherapy in a cozy peaceful atmosphere.  I love meeting new people and helping them with all their natural nail care questions and needs. I'm always up for doing something fun with your nails!

Yelena Litovchenko
I was born in Russia and my interest in dressing hair began when I was 12 years old. I moved to the United States in 1995 and attended Cosmetology Academy in San Francisco and received my accreditation from Sacramento ,California and worked there before I came to Bellingham . I have been Styling Hair and doing spa services here for the past seven years. I feel I am an experienced cosmetologist, who specializes in custom styling cuts, focusing on razor cutting, working with various textures. Perming if need be to change texture. I also enjoy blonde foiling and weaves and dimensional color Blocking, using Autumn Reds. I can finish your look with eyebrow wax shaping and tinting. I truly love people and enjoy watching the transformation of beauty and self-acceptance inside and out. I especially enjoy my working environment, here at MayDay Spa and Salon. My passion for hairdressing started very early. At age 4, I was curling my patient grandfather’s hair with sponge rollers. I would also prepare my girlfriends hair and make-up before dances or a night out on the town. Because I‘ve always have loved working with hair, I pursued my formal training and education at Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy here in Bellingham. Washington. Precision haircutting and coloring techniques--ranging from classic to edgy styles and trends are my passion and love. I take great care in my haircutting abilities and am always eager to learn new coloring techniques.  I just completed training with mineral makeup applications and NEW TRENDS from Salon Services in Renton. I will enjoy completing your style with a new fresh appearance using YOUNG BLOOD MINERAL MAKEUP. I also enjoy giving manicures, pedicures, waxing services, but finishing your style with a beautiful cosmetic application creates a more complete you.
